Senior Architecture Designer-資深建筑設(shè)計師-Shanghai The Senior Designer will work in the architecture studio on large, high end and custom design projects, providing design leadership by giving clients an excellent service both on design and delivery, continually provide design solutions, improving design quality, represent Gensler architecture design to clients and the design community, mentoring designers in their careers and working profitably for the firm.
The Senior Architecture Designer will be responsible for:
• Interaction with clients, meetings and presentations. • Develop Programming, consulting, strategic planning, conceptual designs, space planning, presentations, design development, and production. • Leading and monitoring architectural design team. • Develop and be responsible for projects budgets. • Coordinate with technical team. • Participate in business development effort. • The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered:
• 8-10 years professional experience including proven track record of leading the design of large-scale projects such as, corporate headquarters, campus planning or mixed-use projects. • BArch/MArch or foreign equivalent, Architectural licensed • Must understand trends in large, shell / core architectural design • Possess a high level of visual and verbal communication skills and a high level of freehand and rendering skills. • Have the ability to mentor team members, offer guidance and leadership. • Be capable of using 2D/3D software, including AutoCAD, 3D Studio MAX, Sketchup, PhotoShop, InDesign and Illustrator, and PowerPoint . • Knowledge of the total project process including fee and team management, schedules and budgets. • REVIT is a plus. • Please submit work samples along with your resume and cover letter. Master Planner/Urban Designer 城市規(guī)劃設(shè)計師 - Shanghai
The Master Planner/Urban Designer will be responsible for:
• Under the supervision of the Planning and Urban Design leader, assist and participate in all phases of a wide range of urban and ex-urban projects, including performing existing site surveys, urban design competitions and international urban design, mixed use urban renewal projects, community revitalization, urban planning, streetscapes, infill development, land use and transportation, and open space planning projects; • Participate in project team discussions with planning officials of proposed land use projects such as commercial, industrial, residential, and community use; • Participate with the project team in holding public meetings and conferring with government agencies, clients, the public, and special interest groups to formulate and develop land use projects; • Prepare design guidelines, capacity studies, concept plans, development plans, and entitlement plans; Coordinate input from multiple partners to translate into site plans; • Analyze design concept of buildings and spaces in 2D/3D and translate them into plan, elevation and perspective view drawings; • Create and prepare design presentations to clients and agencies with jurisdiction over projects; coordinate with agencies with jurisdiction over projects for approvals; coordinate information, deliverables, and other input with client representatives for project approvals; • Work closely with partners and senior designers/planners in preparing design concepts, concept development, and preparation of final plans and construction documents.
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered:
• 6-10 years experiences; • Committed and imaginative Urban Designers, from an architectural background, and with proven multi-disciplinary skills, to take up full time positions working from concept design through to quality presentation stage. AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Illustrator proficiency essential. • Candidate must be bilingual in Chinese and English and have working knowledge of relevant Chinese Codes. Successful candidates will possess excellent communication, technical, design and presentation skills. Hand drawing, SketchUp, Revit and illustrating skills an advantage.

Architecture Designer 建筑設(shè)計師 – Shanghai
The Architecture Designer will be responsible for:
• Work with design team to develop solutions for various types of architecture and master planning projects; • Produce hand sketch and computer study model for study of design ideas and for final presentation of design solutions; • Produce CAD drawings for development of design solutions; • And any other related responsibility as assigned.
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered:
• 1-3 years related experience in an architectural firm. • Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, PhotoShop and 3DStudio are required. • Knowledge of ReVit is a plus. • Good team spirit. Curtain Wall Project Architect 幕墻建筑師 - Shanghai
The Curtain Wall Project Architect will be responsible for:
• Be responsible for all of the technical aspects of the project during all phases from conceptual design through construction documentation and construction administration. • Good knowledge of glass and its performance. • Good knowledge of the curtain wall framing, its material and installation. • Understand the structural support system in coordination with structural engineers and curtain wall consultant. • Comprehend the environment system in related to curtain wall system and to advise engineers for building system in mechanical, electrical, fire & life safety. • Has to grasp the shop drawings of curtain wall and to check out visual & performance mockup based on specification. • Be able to use software for curtain wall system design. • Deep knowledge of curtain wall system requirement by codes and design criteria in China and international codes.
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered:
• 15 years experience and be a licensed architect. • Requires strong exterior building envelope and interiors detailing experience along with strong construction administration and specification writing experience • Knowledge of Chinese building codes, standards and structures • Excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English with engineers and contractors. • Familiarity with development, implementation and monitoring of QA/QC processes is a plus. • Must be team oriented with a passion for mentoring and teaching. • Revit experience preferred

Technical Director 技術(shù)總監(jiān) - Shanghai
Gensler is seeking a management-level Technical Director for its office in Shanghai. The Technical Director should be an experienced senior architect with extensive experience in the technical aspects of design solutions on large-scale, programmatically complex private and public projects, especially high-rise buildings.
The Technical Director will be responsible for:
• Gensler's Technical Director will be a unique individual, equipped with the background and skills to assist the firm with their goal of producing projects of the highest technical caliber, operating with direct project involvement, and involved with mentoring and motivational leadership. • The Technical Director will be the leader in the Shanghai office responsible for technology advocacy and should have a sophisticated understanding of the relationship between architectural design and building technology, as well as a conviction that it something doesn't work technically, then it can't work architecturally.
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered:
• Candidates should have extensive experience with design and delivery of large-scale, programmatically complex projects in the corporate, commercial, and institutional market sectors, especially high-rise buildings. • Candidates should be articulate and have the ability to work and lead effectively in a team environment. Gensler also appreciates a great attitude, flexibility, and the willingness to take on responsibility. • The position requires a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in architecture. In addition, it requires at least 15 to 18 years of architectural experience. • Candidates should be licensed architects. In addition, since Gensler places a high priority on sustainable design, LEED professional accreditation is preferred. • Candidates should be available to travel within and outside the USA and the People's Republic of China. Fluency or proficiency in languages in addition to English is particularly advantageous. Specific experience should include: • Experience working as a collaborator and leader within a multi-disciplinary team environment teaching and inspiring others to strive for technical excellence. • A portfolio demonstrating completed, relevant projects for which the candidate was directly responsible for the technical aspects of design solutions. Relevant projects include architectural projects for clients in the airports and transit, civic and community, corporate, commercial, education, and mixed-use sectors. • A track record of developing forward-looking and innovative approaches to the technology of architecture, including developmental technologies such as BIM. • Experience with management of the project design and delivery process, including interaction with consultants and contractors. • Extensive knowledge of building materials and construction technology. • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and contracting procedures, as well as contractual and liability issues. • Ability to motivate staff through leadership and expertise. • A commitment to the principles of sustainable design and experience integrating them on specific projects. • Experience with 2-D and 3-D design and illustration, including proficiency with freehand drawing in a variety of media. Familiarity with AutoCAD, 3D MAX (or equivalent), Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator • Experience with BIM and Revit.
